Things Daddy Finds

Taylor always calls to let me know he's on his way home from work. One day recently, he told me he was bringing me a surprise. I got excited. When he got home and I saw the surprise, I was less excited. This is what he brought home.

Google tells me this is a Hercules Beetle. It looks rather scary and we tried not to let Noah get too close to the pincers on its head. He was pretty fascinated by it and wanted to touch it's hard back. We had our fun admiring it for a while and then released it into the pine straw to be free and buggy again.
