Things I've Learned

1.  A baby's laugh is the most adorable sound ever.
2.  No matter how bad your day or night has been, when a baby smiles at you, you can't help but smile back.
3.  Seeing your baby sick and not being able to make it better will break your heart.
4.  Sometimes a nap can be the highlight of your day.
5.  Seeing recognition on your baby's face when you walk in the room is one of the greatest feelings you'll ever have.
6.  When you're talking to your baby and he reaches out and grabs your face, you know you're exactly where you're supposed to be.

Four Months Old

Noah turned four months old on December 8th.  When we went for his four month check-up, he was 28 inches long (100th percentile) and weighed 14 pounds 14 ounces (38th percentile).  If this trend continues I may have a hard time finding pants to fit this kid.  Looks like he's going to be built like his daddy.

One big thing this month is that he's really started sucking his thumb, which is adorable, and he chews on his hands all the time.  He drools constantly so bibs have become a necessity.  He still loves his swing, and he seems to like his new bouncy seat that we put together.

He also loves the Bjorn carrier.  He likes facing forward so he can see everything that's happening.  He just takes it all in and kicks his feet when he gets really excited about something.  He even occasionally falls asleep in it.  His personality is really coming out now.  He has the cutest facial expressions and is much more vocal.  This kid really seems to have a lot to say.  He loves to stand up, with some assistance of course.  I have a feeling when he starts crawling we are never going to catch him.  He's changed so much over these last four months, and I can't wait to see what the next one brings.  One thing's for sure...we are going to have a lot of fun with this one.
