Backyard Fun

Today was a great day to be outside. We spent quite a while at the playground this morning until Noah was pretty much worn out. After a good nap and some dinner, we headed back outside for some backyard fun. While Taylor pressure washed the back patio, Noah played with his trucks in the dirt over near the woodpile.

He played in a tree.

He helped Taylor pull some weeds out of the yard. (Please try not to notice how many weeds there actually are.)

He helped Taylor build a fire and we pulled out stuff to make s'mores. Taylor helped him get his marshmallow on the stick and helped him hold it over the fire to get it nice and toasty.

Then it was time to try the finished product. He seemed skeptical of the first bite, but quickly decided he liked the sticky, gooey treat. He kept coming back for more until it was all over his face and the s'more was gone.

Then we just sat around the fire enjoying being outside. We just hope the weather stays nice and we can have more evenings like this.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I wanted to do some sort of easy crafty project for St. Patrick's Day. I searched Pinterest and settled on bell pepper painting. The idea is that the four sections of the pepper look like a clover when used as a stamp. However, the only pepper I had in the house only had three sections instead of four. But since my two-year-old doesn't know the difference, we went with it. He had a great time stamping away with the pepper and we had a festive little painting when he was finished.

Buddies

We recently had some nice weather on a Sunday afternoon and took Noah to the playground to meet his buddy Rebekah for a little playtime. They are so cute and seem to enjoy playing together. Noah refuses to give her a hug, or even a high five. But we'll work on that. One thing is for sure: she will definitely keep him running. This girl doesn't stand still for long!
