Baker Man

Noah is very curious. He wants to know what lies behind every door and what's in each drawer in our house. I have made one cabinet in our kitchen that is just for him to explore that is filled with plastic bowls and containers that he can't really do much damage with. On this day while I was trying my best to cook dinner, I gave in and let him explore another cabinet...the baking cabinet. He proceeded to pull everything he could reach out into the floor. He had a great time and no bakeware was harmed in the process.

I don't think we'll be having meaningful conversations anytime soon.

Insanity: Day 1

When I got pregnant, I was determined to gain as little weight as possible, and then to lose that weight afterwards as quickly as possible. Sadly, that has not happened. However, I do know why it hasn't happened. I have very little discipline. I have the discipline to work out, but not to stop myself from eating sugary snacks. While on vacation, Taylor and I had a discussion about fitness and being healthy. We decided we would do it together. So when Taylor said he could get his hands on the Insanity workout, I said, "Yes, please." Today was day 1 of that workout. I am more determined than ever to find my discipline and get myself to my desired weight, and I'm hoping this workout will help me. I will post updates and share my progress along the way. Then when I get to where I want to be, perhaps I will post some before and after photos...if I'm very brave. Wish me luck!!

11 Months Old

Noah turned 11 months old on the 8th. Big milestone this month:  walking!! Our little man is walking, and getting better at it every day. He still only has two teeth, but he's doing pretty well with eating. He still loves to be outside, but one of his new loves is his bookcase. He loves to pull a book off, look at a couple of pages, then toss that one aside and pull off a new one. Hopefully that means he'll actually enjoy reading all the books one day.

He's gotten quite good at climbing the stairs so we have to keep the gate up more often to keep him off them. He seems to have developed a particular fondness for peek-a-boo, and he got his first haircut this month. I'm still not quite sure where the last 11 months went, but it seems he changes more every day. Next step...planning a birthday party.

Left Foot, Right Foot

Our little man is officially a toddler. A wobbly one, but he's getting it. And once he does, I think we're in for an adventure.

Peek-a-Boo!

It seems that Noah was paying more attention than we thought all those times we were playing with him. This is one of the cutest things ever.

Footprints in the Fridge

Noah is curious about everything. If you open a drawer, cabinet, or closet he wants to see what's inside. Apparently this is also true for the refrigerator.

Now if only I could teach him to clean it...
