There is a creek that runs through part of our neighborhood, and Taylor decided yesterday that we should take Noah to see the creek. The weather was warm and sunny and the water wasn't too cold, so we put his little feet in to see what he would do. I'm not sure he knew what to make of it at first. He tried holding one foot up out of the water for a while. But he finally got them both in there, felt the sandy bottom, and seemed to enjoy it.

7 Months Old
Noah turned seven months old yesterday. New things this month: clapping, shaking his head, rolling over, and his first tooth coming in.
Our little man finally started rolling over. Front to back seems to be easy for him, but getting back over is tricky. He gets his arm caught behind him and can't quite figure out what to do with it. We've had to go flip him back over a couple times at night because he gets stuck and gets frustrated. He's sitting up really well on his own now, and he still loves to walk. He hasn't started crawling yet, but I imagine that's coming soon. Then let the baby proofing begin.
He has lots of energy and loves to talk. Now his talking includes a lot more sounds and seems more like he's actually trying to say something. Once he starts moving and talking there's going to be no stopping him. He loves to be outside watching airplanes with his Daddy, and he loves to be carried around by Poppa. He wants to see everything and take it all in.
He's still getting taller, but not getting much bigger. The doctors say he's doing just fine, so we'll go with it. He'll gain weight eventually. Big or small, he's such an amazing baby. I love to just hold him and snuggle with him in my lap because I know he won't let me do that forever. The days are just going by too fast. But we are having so much fun along the way.

The Great Outdoors
Taylor loves to be outside, especially when we have weather like we've been having lately. As it turns out, Noah seems to share this love with his daddy. He likes to play with the grass and seems fascinated by the trees. The two of them hung out for a while yesterday just enjoying the breeze and watching airplanes.

6 Months Old
Our sweet Noah turned six months old on the 8th, and I'm not sure how that happened. The time seems to be flying by. He is now 29 inches long and weighs 16 pounds 9 ounces...tall and skinny. He's sitting up pretty well on his own now, and is a very wiggly boy. I'm pretty sure once he starts crawling we will never keep up with him.
Our newest addition this month: solid foods. So far we've tried several types of oatmeal with fruit, apples, peaches, an apple strawberry banana combo, peas, green beans, squash, squash casserole, sweet potatoes, and chicken with noodles. The only thing he didn't really like the first time he tried it was peas. But when we tried them again a couple weeks later he seemed to like them. He still doesn't have any teeth yet, but I'm sure they will be coming soon.
With all the nice weather we've been having, we have been going on lots of strolls around the neighborhood. Noah gets excited when I strap him in the stroller, but he falls asleep every single time we go out.
He loves anything that makes a crinkly noise, so when I brought home a balloon for Valentine's day, he loved it. Also a big hit: a bag of white cheddar popcorn that Daddy bought. He still talks quite a bit, loves his jumper, and is overall one of the happiest babies I've ever seen. People that come to visit are just amazed at how calm and content he is. We'll see if that lasts as he gets older. I think our next big step will be baby proofing our house and blocking off all the things he shouldn't get into. I can't believe how much he's changed already, and I look forward to seeing how he changes in the months to come. God has blessed us with a truly wonderful little boy.
