Bubbles!!
Noah loves bubbles and gets really excited when you blow them for him. After seeing his reaction to them in this video, I'm not sure love is a strong enough word. Apparently, these were just about the best bubbles in the world.

Workin' at the Car Wash
Last weekend was beautiful, so Taylor decided to get a few things done outside. One of those things was washing his car. We brought Noah outside as well and let him join in the fun. He enjoyed playing in the bubbles in our bucket of soapy water, and helping Taylor wash with the big sponge.
What he really enjoyed was when Taylor showed him how to use the hose. He had a blast spraying water all over and trying to get his hands in the stream. He even turned the hose on me to get me move involved in the action. He was soaked by the time we put away the hose, but he sure had a good time helping wash the car.

Fun at the Playground
It finally feels like Spring around here, so we spent some time this weekend at the playground. Noah really enjoys pretending to drive the big Jeep. The wheel makes a horrible screeching noise when you turn it, so it is not a favorite among adults.
The mushroom playhouse is another favorite. Noah even coaxed Taylor into it with him.
There are also big wheels with ball bearings in a maze. You turn the wheel, the balls move around. Noah used to be afraid of them because they are a bit loud. This time he thought they were really funny.
It was a great day to spend outside. We welcome Spring with open arms and look forward to many more afternoons in the sun.

Go Find Mommy
Noah has recently come to understand what it means to hide, and what it means to find someone else when they hide. He even tries really hard to be quiet so he can sneak up on them. Then he gives up on being sneaky and goes right in for the attack. He's getting better at it, and it's quite adorable to watch.

Easter 2013
Last year, Noah was too young to really enjoy an Easter egg hunt, or even know what was going on for that matter. So we were looking forward to introducing him to this colorful pastime this year. We headed down to my parents' house on Saturday to visit with Nana and Papa.
Noah quite enjoyed diving into his huge basket of goodies the Easter bunny left at Nana and Papa's house. He got puzzles, new shoes, a couple of movies, and some bubbles. Of course his favorite goodies were cars. This boy really loves his cars. After taking them all out of their packages and taking everything out of the basket, we headed outside to find eggs.
Noah did a great job at spotting and pointing out the eggs, then hustling over to tuck them into his bucket. He insisted on carrying the bucket himself, even when it got full and heavy. He did finally accept a little help, but he still had to have a hand on it. When all the eggs had been found, we headed inside to find out what was inside the eggs. Some had chocolate bunnies, others had cars. Of course, he loved the cars. It was a great Easter Eve.
Easter Sunday meant an early service at church, where we were joined by Grandpa. Noah had another visit from the Easter bunny and got more fun treats. I think his favorite thing from this basket was a book called Mater and the Easter Buggy. Mater is his favorite. Noah's uncle Spencer and Aunt Lauren came over to have a tasty lunch with us. Uncle Aaron and Aunt Kelly came over later to visit and Noah got to play with his cousin Emsley. They are both growing so quickly and it was nice to see them play together. It was a great Easter weekend celebrated with family.

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with
him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot
die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he
died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the
same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ
Jesus.

Knock Knock
We recently bought a second car seat to have in Taylor's car to avoid having to switch back and forth. Taylor cut a window into the box for Noah to play with. We had no idea it would be such a big hit. One if his favorite things is for someone to get inside the box and pop out of the window when he knocks on it. This is only a brief video, but we played this little game for quite a while. Noah loved it, and his excitement was amazing to watch.

Waiting on Daddy
One night last week, Taylor called to tell me he was on his way home from work. I hung up the phone, turned to Noah, and told him, "Daddy's on his way home!" I remained on the couch while Noah wandered into the kitchen. I heard him whimpering a little and went to see what was wrong. I found him trying his best to reach the doorknob to open it and find his Daddy in the garage. I told him that Daddy wasn't home yet. So he turned around, gave me a sad little look, and then laid down on the rug to wait for his Daddy.
I finally got him to leave the kitchen and go to the window in the office to watch for Daddy to come home. I pulled up the blinds and there we sat, until that familiar red car came into the cul-de-sac. Noah saw it, exclaimed "Daddy!", and ran for the kitchen. I know Taylor loves having Noah run into his arms as soon as he walks in the door, and I love being able to see that. This boy truly loves his Daddy.
